Made in Tuscany. Played everywhere.

Bacci Marleo Parato bass landing preview — hero, story, sound, players, the six finishes with galleries, full specifications, FAQ and enquiry form.
A 1970s Italian dream, handbuilt in Tuscany. Six art-inspired finishes. One unmistakable voice.

Warm, eclectic tones that recall lived-in spaces. Expressive and powerful — with a comfort both nostalgic and contemporary.

Bruno Bacci doesn't draw a shape and fill it with sound. He starts from the sound he can already hear, then builds the bass around it — applying physics, metallurgy and the violin-making craft of Cremona. He even chooses each piece of wood by feel, moving through a sequence that looks like a dance, listening for its voice before the first cut.
A factory ≠ a luthier.Commission yours with Bruno
Every Parato is made to order — the finish is the look, but pickups, circuit, scale and strings are all chosen by you.
No batteries, simple and reliable. An organic, vintage tone that responds to every nuance of your right hand.
A natural preamp that enhances the instrument's frequencies and colours without contaminating its voice.
Pickups, circuit, scale (32" / 34") and string count (4 / 5) are yours to choose — configure above. Each finish ships with its own standard pickup pair and scale.
Two voices, two feels — we build the one that fits your hands and your music.
Classic bass tension and wider string spacing. For players tied to the feel of a traditional bass — firm, authoritative low end, and the confidence to read a chart without looking at your hands.
Light as a feather. Fast, easy access across the whole neck, with slap and punch that trigger instantly. A contemporary bass that edges toward guitar and percussion.

One of LA's most in-demand bassists — trusted by Shania Twain, Gwen Stefani and Shakira, on the road with Don Felder and Melissa Etheridge. He didn't reach for a stock instrument: he had Bruno build him his own one-off Parato, then took it around the world for his Bass The World series.
The artists he plays for fill arenas — and these are the names that keep calling him:
Derek played his custom Bacci Parato live at NAMM 2026 — the world's biggest gear show.
I can't even describe how honored I am to have received my custom bass from master luthier Bruno Bacci today. This 32" scale Marleo 5-string with custom graphics exceeded my expectations in every way — all I can say is WOW.— Derek Frank
Derek didn't pick a Parato off a wall — he commissioned his own. A custom Marleo Parato, built frame by frame in Tuscany.

Grammy winners. Session legends. Festival headliners. Every one of them could reach for anything on earth — and they reach for a bass made entirely by hand, start to finish, by a single luthier: Bruno Bacci, in Tuscany.
Michael League — founder of the Grammy-winning Snarky Puppy — takes Bacci onto the world's biggest stages. Live at North Sea Jazz, that low end reached over a million people.
